The Rector of the Universitat de Mallorca (UMAC-ADEMA), Dr. Pere Riutord, visited Humana Health & Care, where he held an institutional meeting with the healthcare organization’s team, led by Dr. Karina Ojanguren.
During the meeting, Riutord presented the key aspects of the new university’s academic and institutional project, as well as its educational model—which is geared towards academic excellence, practical training, applied research, innovation, and ongoing engagement with the professional world.
The meeting has enabled the continuation of the collaboration agreement signed between ADEMA and Humana Health & Care for the practical training of future Health Sciences students at the Universitat de Mallorca.
Thanks to this agreement, students will be able to apply the knowledge acquired during their training in a real, highly specialized clinical setting, guided by both a university academic supervisor and a professional designated by the healthcare institution. This experience will foster the development of clinical and interpersonal skills, interdisciplinary teamwork, and a direct understanding of the needs of patients and their families.
Both parties have also explored new opportunities for cooperation in areas such as training, applied research, care innovation, prevention, home care, and knowledge transfer, with the aim of strengthening the link between the university and the real needs of the healthcare system.
