WHO ARE WE?
ADEMA has more than 30 years of academic and research experience in the university, postgraduate, vocational and continuing education fields. Its strengths are centered on four basic pillars: innovative educational methodology, digitalization and haptic and holographic 3D simulation, internationalization and research.
WHAT DO WE DO?
Various activities and workshops will be held to promote and care for health:
– Oral examinations.
– Activities to raise awareness among students on how to prevent oral diseases.
– Activities on how to achieve healthy nutritional habits for a healthier life.
– Workshops on physical activity and health.
WHO MAKES UP THE TEAM?
Group of teachers, researchers and students of the University Degrees in Dentistry and Human Nutrition and Dietetics, as well as those of the Higher Degree Training Cycles in Oral Hygiene, Physical Conditioning, Dietetics, as well as the Intermediate Degrees of Technician in Pharmacy and Parapharmacy and Auxiliary Care in Nursing and Basic Degree in Access and Conservation of Sports Facilities.
PLACE AND ORGANIZATION
Students from educational centres who decide to participate travel to ADEMA to see the facilities and take part in workshops in the Clinic and classrooms.
Logistics for the organization: They will travel by bus to our center, where they will carry out all the activities in different spaces.
(transport is free of charge after studying the economic conditions by the ADEMA + FOUNDATION).
WHY PARTICIPATE?
The participation of educational centres will allow obtaining a series of results that will help to plan new preventive strategies in the field of oral health and nutritional habits, through advisory programmes aimed at the child and adolescent population and their families/guardians.
PREVENTIVE STRATEGIES IN THE HEALTH FIELD
In order to carry out all the necessary procedures for the activities, both exploration and measurements and workshops, all the health protocols required by the competent Administrations in this matter will be followed.
ADEMA complies with all the requirements established by the Balearic Government’s Department of Health in the clinical and hygienic-sanitary field to carry out these studies and the workshops proposed in this dossier and guarantee the safety of visitors and staff of the educational center.
In all cases, informed consent will be required from the families/guardians of students under 16 years of age prior to their participation in this study.
