The University of Mallorca (UMAC-ADEMA) and the Official College of Computer Engineering of the Balearic Islands (COEIIB) have signed a collaboration agreement aimed at strengthening the relationship between the university environment and the professional sector of computer engineering.

The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration to promote joint initiatives in specialized training, technological dissemination, knowledge transfer and professional development related to computer science and digital technologies.

The agreement will allow the development of activities of common interest related to digital technologies, digital transformation and the promotion of technological knowledge in the Balearic Islands.

The collaboration includes the possible joint organization of conferences, seminars and training activities related to computer science and other technological areas of common interest, as well as initiatives aimed at promoting the exchange of knowledge between professionals and the university environment.

The signing of the agreement is part of both institutions’ interest in promoting spaces for collaboration between the university and the professional sector in areas related to digitalization, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and other emerging technologies.

One of the objectives of the agreement is to promote dialogue between active professionals and the university environment, contributing to the exchange of knowledge and experiences in an area of ​​special relevance for the Balearic Islands.

The president of the University of Mallorca (UMAC-ADEMA), Diego González, has highlighted the importance of maintaining an active collaboration between the university and professional sectors to bring technological and business realities closer to students and to promote profiles prepared for new digital challenges.

On behalf of the Official College of Computer Engineering of the Balearic Islands (COEIIB), Dr. Francisco J. Perales has indicated the willingness of this institution to collaborate with different entities and agents of the Balearic technological ecosystem in initiatives related to computer science, technological training and the dissemination of knowledge.

The COEIIB is the official corporation that represents the Computer Engineering professionals of the Balearic Islands and works to promote the development of the profession, technological quality and the dissemination of computer knowledge in service to society.
