Martina Pinosa and Óscar González, Fine Arts students from the ADEMA University School, will be the stars of this year’s Art Palma Brunch at the Nivia Born Boutique. The Nivia Born Boutique Hotel, in its commitment to promoting art as a strategic pillar for the development of cultural tourism, is opening its doors to showcase works by these two students with the aim of fostering the artistic talent of this academic institution.
This exhibition, according to Garden Hotels Marketing & Communications Manager Gabriel Llobera, “is another step in our commitment to culture, art, and education, and we are delighted with the proposals by Martina Pinosa, “Human Nature,” and Óscar González, “Connections 1 and 2.”
The Head of Studies for the Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts, Amparo Sard, also expressed her satisfaction with these projects, which showcase their talent and creativity. “It’s very important that our students continue to collaborate with these spaces that promote culture and the Fine Arts. We are very pleased with this type of initiative, which will allow us to discover creativity and innovation through their first works.”
“Human Nature” by Martina Pinosa invites us to reflect on emotional shields and barriers and defense mechanisms against fear, mistrust, and indifference. “The same thing happens in nature, where it creates its own barrier in the face of any natural disaster. It can create shells that can be refuges or prisons. Do they protect us or limit us? When is it time to open them and let ourselves feel?” argues artist Martina Pinosa.
The works in Óscar González’s Connections 1 and 2 series explore the relationship between contemporary materials and the immediacy of the present, utilizing techniques such as raw 3D printing. For the artist, “in this way, we reclaim the use of contemporary materials, which reflect the speed and immediacy that characterize the digital age in which we live.”
The pieces in this series are presented as forms that, far from maintaining a rigid, defined structure, seem to deform and flow, giving prominence to the material itself. This transformation underscores the interaction between the work and its environment, inviting the viewer to perceive not only the form, but also the relationship established between the material and the surrounding space.
It’s worth remembering that the president of Art Palma Contemporani, Fran Reus; the Marketing & Communications Manager of Garden Hotels, Gabriel Llobera; and the president of ADEMA Escuela Universitaria, Diego González, signed a collaboration agreement aimed at promoting the talent of students in the Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts.
