This morning, the ADEMA University School welcomed around twenty highly gifted students from the MENTORiment programme, immersing them in an educational experience where Health and Art converge with the most advanced technology.
Participants have worked with STEAM methodologies and innovative tools such as tactile and holographic 3D virtual simulation, tissue exploration in high-precision microscopes and artistic creation. This interdisciplinary approach reinforces the comprehensive training of future professionals, providing an immersion in scenarios that reflect the challenges and opportunities of the new disciplines of knowledge.
From the fields of Dentistry, Human Nutrition and Dietetics and Fine Arts, the workshops have allowed students to experiment with augmented reality and artificial intelligence applied to Health. Using haptic 3D simulators, they have explored diagnosis and treatment in the dental field, understanding the importance of precision in clinical practice.
In the field of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, an innovative workshop on anthropometry applied to sport was held this year. Students were able to learn about the importance of assessing body composition in nutritional consultations and in sports performance through the creation of a personalized somatocard. In addition, they explored the structure of adipose and muscle tissue through a microscope, understanding first-hand the differences and their impact on health and physical performance. This experience has allowed participants to get closer to the professional reality of sports and clinical nutrition, a key discipline in optimizing well-being and preventing diseases.
In the artistic field, they have delved into the technique of graphite, discovering how light and shadow can transform a work and how art remains a fundamental pillar in cognitive and emotional development.

The ADEMA University School works with an innovative educational methodology based on practical project-based learning in which cooperative and service work is essential and the autonomy and decision-making capacity of students is encouraged.
MENTORiment is an extracurricular enrichment programme aimed at students from the Balearic Islands identified as having high intellectual abilities. Organised by the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), through the Programme for Attention to High Intellectual Abilities (PACIS), in collaboration with the Directorate General for Innovation and Educational Community of the Regional Ministry of Education and University and directed by Dr. Rosabel Rodríguez.




This programme, aimed at students in their third and fourth year of ESO, Baccalaureate and Intermediate and Higher FP, has as its main objective to bring students with ACI closer to the multiple training options offered by the UIB, stimulating their interests and fostering scientific talent, especially at a time when they need information to guide their future.
Students with ACI often find themselves immersed in an educational environment that does not respond to their specific characteristics and learning needs. MENTORiment’s priority is to provide an educational response that meets the intellectual concerns of these individuals, without neglecting the emotional and social aspects that interact in the teaching-learning process.
