ADEMA, recognized at the IEB grant ceremony for creation and research - Escuela Universitaria ADEMA

The Miró Foundation was the setting for the first ceremony organised by the Institut d’Estudis Baleàrics (IEB) to recognise the projects that have received grants for creation and research in the 2024 edition.

ADEMA was one of the beneficiary institutions thanks to the support received for the project Amparo Sard, tension, perception and image, a catalogue raisonné that will explore and analyse Amparo Sard’s artistic practice between 1973 and 2023. The person in charge of collecting the distinction was our teacher, Mónica Galván, who is part of the research group that will develop this project.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Jaume Bauzà, together with the director of the IEB, Llorenç Perelló. Llorenç Perelló stressed that this event is key to giving visibility to the work of institutions and artists working in creation and research in the Balearic Islands. Jaume Bauzà also highlighted the Government’s commitment to strengthening the cultural, academic and linguistic sectors.

The ADEMA project, which focuses on the work of the artist Amparo Sard, aims to delve into the tensions, perceptions and images that characterise her artistic career, consolidating her position as a significant contribution to the cultural and artistic panorama of the Balearic Islands. The ceremony also allowed for the sharing and display of progress made on other projects selected this year and in previous editions.
