The ADEMA University School, in its commitment to new technologies applied to teaching and clinical practice, has incorporated new magnification systems in Dentistry in its Integrated University Clinic, with the acquisition of an operating microscope and five state-of-the-art technoscopes.
This addition represents a further step forward in its academic model, focused on clinical excellence, teaching updates and continuous improvement of patient care.
Specifically, the center has added the Zumax OMS 2050 operating microscope to its equipment, a high-precision technology that represents a further step in incorporating tools aligned with the most demanding standards of modern dentistry. This acquisition is complemented by five technoscopes, which allow for the expansion of magnification use in dentistry to various clinical and educational areas within the university clinic.
As Dr. Jorge Domínguez explained, “the incorporation of advanced magnification systems has become one of the main indicators of modernization in dentistry, especially in specialties such as endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery.” In this regard, he emphasized that “the arrival of this new equipment at ADEMA represents a significant step forward both for student training and for the supervised clinical activity carried out at its facilities.”
The Zumax OMS 2050 operating microscope features a high-resolution, multi-coated optics system with seamless, stepless progressive zoom from 1.8 to 19.8x magnification, True Color LED illumination (CRI ~90 / 5500K) with high color fidelity, and an integrated 4K camera. Key features include the VarioDist lens, which allows for adjusting the working distance without changing lenses or optics, and the Pendulum Pro system, which enables lateral tilting while maintaining operator ergonomics and the field of view. It also boasts a highly stable, articulated arm with smooth and precise movements.
