The ADEMA “ES CRUM” University Research Centre in Inca was the venue chosen for the inauguration this afternoon of the first collective exhibition of the students of the “Començant” Foundation Year programme.
An exhibition not only becomes the seed of the beginning of an artistic path for the participants, but also an invitation for the public to explore the creative process of this group of students.
The exhibition presents multidisciplinary works created by Carme Martin, Xesca Martorell, Verónica Beltran Prats, Joost Goverts, Sandra Conte, Jurga Veteike, Caterina Ferragut, Leonor Cañellas, Martha Zein, Teresa Roig Germán, Miquel Coll, Monrroix, María Faidella and Isabel Salva, accompanied by teachers and curators Tomás Pizá and Xisco Duarte.
According to teachers Tomás Pizá and Xisco Duarte, “the exhibition has not only stood out for its wealth of disciplines and styles, the result of the intense work of the students, who have explored, experimented and perfected their skills. This approach, characteristic of the ADEMA Foundation Year programme, encourages creative freedom and the comprehensive development of each student’s artistic language.”
The title of the exhibition, “Començant”, alludes, in the words of the teachers and curators, to the beginning of a journey, to the connection with the processes of conscious creation and to the progressive development of individual artistic language. It is not just about starting in a literal sense, but about embarking on a deep exploration that encompasses doing, seeing, feeling and communicating.
On the walls of “ES CRUM” different disciplines, personalities and interests dialogue from experience and source of inspiration. “Començant is not only in the literal sense of the concept, but includes everything that comes close to a contemplative and progressive analysis of creative work: begin to do, begin to say, begin to see, begin to feel”, the teachers have argued.
The exhibition seeks to break with the stereotypes of inspiration as something intangible and romantic, to highlight the importance of discipline, methodology and experimentation in artistic practice. Each work in “Començant” reflects the effort and dedication necessary to transform ideas into concrete forms, offering the visitor a unique and enriching cultural experience.
Both the Mayor of Inca, Virgilio Moreno, and the coordinator of the Fine Arts Degree at ADEMA, Guillem Aloy, have congratulated the participating students and teachers for their work and passion for Fine Arts.
For the coordinator of the Degree in Fine Arts at ADEMA, Guillem Aloy, “this new exhibition is a clear reflection of our centre’s commitment to quality artistic training and educational innovation.” “These works not only represent the talent of our students, but also their ability to experiment and transform ideas. We are proud to contribute to the development of emerging art,” he explained.
