The ADEMA University School, through the ADEMA+ Foundation, has signed a collaboration agreement with the Ecuadorian Mallorcan Association (ASEM) with the aim of promoting oral health among the Ecuadorian community living in the Balearic Islands, as well as other people in vulnerable situations.
Thanks to this collaboration, the ADEMA University School will provide dental care and health promotion education programs to ASEM members and their families.
ASEM users can benefit from the services offered by the ADEMA University Clinic from the moment of their diagnosis, with an initial examination of the oral cavity and instruction on possible pathologies that may arise during treatment, as well as oral hygiene education to minimize these complications.
Furthermore, they will be able to access all the University Clinic’s treatments in different areas of dentistry, including implants, periodontics, prosthetics, endodontics, orthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, as well as programs to promote and improve oral health. This care will be part of the academic activities of the various subjects of the Dentistry Degree.
The Ecuadorian-Mallorcan Association, which has been working on social integration and support for Ecuadorian citizens in the Balearic Islands since 2005, has highlighted the importance of this collaboration. According to its board of directors, information and access to quality health services are key elements in ensuring equal opportunities and the well-being of citizens.
For its part, the ADEMA University School reaffirms its commitment to service and social responsibility through projects that positively impact the community.
The ADEMA+ Foundation develops humanistic, healthcare, and scientific projects and activities, promoting social responsibility alongside collaborative learning, in which students work as a team and interact to achieve a common goal, fostering the values of social responsibility, commitment, and teaching vocation in an ADEMA University Clinic equipped with cutting-edge technology.
Cutting-edge technology
The University Clinic has 30 operating rooms and has implemented a digital workflow, utilizing 3D diagnostic technology such as 3D CT-CBCT, an intraoral 3D scanner, a dental laser, digital periodontal probes, digitalized dental equipment, 3D printers, and digital microscopes, making it a leading center in the country. One of the major technological innovations available at this educational center, the ADEMA University School of Dentistry, is the haptic and holographic 3D virtual dental simulators that allow students to practice dentistry before treating patients in real-life situations.
