The ADEMA University School and the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Palma (CBA) have celebrated the official presentation of the membership cards of the CBA to the third-year students of the University Degree in Fine Arts. This event marks a further step within the framework of the agreement signed between both institutions, which aims to promote artistic talent and strengthen the connection of students with the cultural and professional environment of the Balearic Islands.
The CBA in Palma will provide ADEMA with various shared spaces such as Can Balaguer, among others, for artistic activities and student exhibitions, as well as facilitating internships in its associates’ workshops, promoting the future employment of recent graduates.
In addition, students will be able to enjoy multiple benefits such as free access to the CBA facilities and to emblematic museums in Palma, discounts on CBA courses, participation in painting sessions organised by associated artists, attending discussions with prominent figures in the cultural world or visiting artists’ workshops to learn about their creative processes. It also allows participation in events organised by the CBA in Palma, among other benefits.
During the award ceremony, both the president of the CBA of Palma, Pedro J. Lorente, and the president of ADEMA, Diego González, stressed the importance of this collaboration to enrich the educational experience of students and offer them a total immersion in the world of contemporary art and the opportunities offered by the artistic community of Palma.
“We are delighted to be able to offer our students the benefits of being in an institution as relevant and prestigious as the CBA, which has 70 years of history on our island. The different opportunities offered to us will become a very positive experience for their professional development,” González said.
ADEMA has three innovative axes based on quality teaching to provide students with learning experiences through an innovative educational methodology that trains them in the skills to develop the different artistic disciplines and the incorporation of cutting-edge and latest generation digital technologies. It is worth highlighting its commitment to promoting research, the transfer of knowledge and the promotion of collaboration with artists, gallery owners, museums and art centres with a multi-centre proposal to promote contemporary art among Balearic society.
