Admission to the Bachelor in Human Nutrition and Dietetics with specific test

Access to the Bachelor in Human Nutrition and Dietetics consists of specific Aptitude Tests (PAP_Nutri), these tests are optional and passing them does not guarantee automatic acceptance into the Bachelor but may give priority in access.

IMPORTANT: Whether you have done PAP_Nutri or not, you must do the university pre-enrollment in the general admission to the Bachelor.

1. General admission (ordinary call)

Who can participate?

Persons who meet any of the following requirements are eligible to participate:

• Students with a passed university entrance exam.
• Senior technicians.
• University graduates.
• People who have passed the test for those over 25 years of age.
• People who have passed the test for people over 45 years old.
• Persons over 40 years of age with accreditation of professional or work experience.
• Certain students in possession of the International Baccalaureate diploma or a recognized baccalaureate without PAU.

How and when to apply?

People who want to start university studies in Human Nutrition and Dietetics must do the online university pre-registration through UIBdigital (pending publication).

Students may consult their admission results through UIBdigital.
They must follow the instructions of the admission lists and formalize the registration with the indications of the ADEMA Administrative Services.

Registration
Once admitted to the Degree, you must accept the place on UIBdigital. Once you have been accepted into the program, you must contact ADEMA’s Administrative Services.
To complete your registration, you will need to fill out a personal information form and attach the student’s documentation to create their file: ID card, passport photo, and proof of qualifications. This form will also allow you to select the different types of discounts applicable to tuition.

Once the above steps have been completed, you will receive by e-mail the personalized economic instructions for the payment and formalization of the registration.
You will not be considered a student of the School until you have paid the corresponding payment.

2. Change of studies / University

Who can participate?

This call is open to students who have taken part in official university official university studies partially within the EHEA and who have passed between 30 and 90 ECTS credits in their and have passed between 30 and 90 ECTS credits in the degree of origin.

It is a prerequisite to formalize the enrollment that the ADEMA University School recognizes at least 30 ECTS credits.

Admission and allocation of places will be made through UIBDigital.

• Students who are to be recognized for 90 credits or more must submit the Application for Recognition of Credits to ADEMA Administrative Services.

The lists of admitted students will be published to assign places in UIBdigital.
Admission is conditional, the student must apply for a credit recognition study, to have the final admission it is necessary that the Credit Recognition and Transfer Commission of the University School ADEMA recognizes at least 30 credits.

3. Non-homologated foreign studies

Who can participate?

Students who have completed partial or total studies that have not obtained homologation or equivalence and who have passed between 30 and 90 ECTS credits in the degree of origin may participate in this call.

It is a prerequisite to formalize the enrollment that the ADEMA University School recognizes at least 30 ECTS credits.

Students to whom 90 credits or more are recognized can submit the application for the recognition study in the Administrative Services of ADEMA. The favorable resolution of the Recognition of credits does not guarantee a place in the Degree, it is subject to the existing places in each of the subjects.

Pathways and requirements for access to the bachelor

The access requirements are regulated in Royal Decree 412/2014, of June 6, which establishes the basic regulations for admission procedures to official undergraduate university education and in Article 7 of the regulatory agreement 12189/2017 of February 20, which regulates the access and admission to official undergraduate studies in its current relationship according to its last amendment, operated by the regulatory agreement 13551 of June 16, 2020, approved within the margins that the aforementioned Royal Decree allows, according to which may access the teachings of the bachelor that concerns us, people who meet some of the following requirements:

1. Students in possession of the Bachiller’s degree of the Spanish Educational System or other declared equivalent.
2. Students in possession of the European Baccalaureate diploma or the International Baccalaureate diploma.
3. Students in possession of titles, diplomas or studies of Bachillerato or Bachiller from educational systems of Member States of the European Union or other States with which international agreements applicable in this regard have been signed, on a reciprocal basis.
4. Students in possession of bachelors, diplomas or studies homologated to the Bachiller degree of the Spanish Educational System, obtained or carried out in educational systems of States that are not members of the European Union with which international agreements have not been signed for the recognition of the Baccalaureate degree on a reciprocal basis.
5. Students in possession of the official titles of Higher Technician of Vocational Training, Higher Technician of Plastic Arts and Design or Higher Sports Technician belonging to the Spanish Educational System, or titles, diplomas or studies declared equivalent or homologated to such titles.
6. Students in possession of bachelors, diplomas or studies, other than those equivalent to the degrees of Bachiller, Higher Vocational Training Technician, Higher Technician in Plastic Arts and Design, or Higher Sports Technician of the Spanish Educational System, obtained or carried out in a Member State of the European Union or in other States with which international agreements applicable in this respect have been signed, on a reciprocal basis, when such students meet the academic requirements demanded in said Member State for access to its Universities.
7. Persons over twenty-five years of age who pass the entrance exam established for this purpose.
8. Persons over forty years of age with work or professional experience related to teaching.
9. Persons over forty-five years of age who pass the entrance exam established for this purpose.
10. Students in possession of an official university Bachelor, Master’s or equivalent degree.
11. Students in possession of an official university degree of University Diploma, Technical Architect, Technical Engineer, Graduate, Architect, Engineer, corresponding to the previous university education system or equivalent degree.
12. Students who have completed partial foreign or Spanish university studies, or who, having completed foreign university studies, have not obtained their recognition in Spain and wish to continue their studies at a Spanish university. In this case, it will be an indispensable requirement that the university recognizes at least 30 ECTS credits.
13. Students who were able to access the university according to the Spanish Educational System regulations prior to the Organic Law 8/2013, of December 9.

Admission criteria

To access the title of Graduate, no special access criteria or tests are established. However, the following selection criteria are made for admission to the ADEMA UNIVERSITY SCHOOL, in the event that there are more applicants than places available, and will be as follows:

Cut-off mark established annually according to the average of the marks of the previous compulsory studies to be able to access the degree of all the applicants for a place, in the event that there are more applicants for places than those offered.

Other recommendations:

• Although it can be accessed from any type of baccalaureate (scientific-technological, health sciences, social sciences, humanities, and arts), the Health Sciences are recommended.
• University entrance exam for people over 25 years old. Although it is already possible to access from the four options available in the university entrance exams for people over 25 years old ((A) Scientific-Technological, (B) Health Sciences, (C) Humanities, and (D) Social Sciences), we recommend the Health Sciences options.
• Although it can be accessed from any of the degrees in the Catalog of Higher Level Vocational Training Cycles of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, we recommend those with greater affinity with the Healthcare professional family.
• Although people over forty years of age with work or professional experience preferably in relation to the fields of: oral health, and who do not have any academic qualification enabling them to access the university by other routes, and accredit labor or professional experience, in accordance with Art. 16 of RD 412/2014, may access. According to the aforementioned rule, this procedure is structured in two successive phases: an assessment phase and a personal interview phase. The support and guidance of enrolled students, in addition to what is offered as part of the teaching activity, is based on the tutorial action throughout the university studies; this action is intended to guide the students’ learning processes and help them make autonomous decisions.

The faculty who assume the tutoring function will guide and inform students on academic aspects, prior to enrollment and throughout their studies (career tutoring). The tutoring may be group, on-line, or individual at the request of the tutor or the student to deal with more specific issues. The tutors will have a file to follow up the student’s process. The figure of the tutor is fundamental in this process and among its particular objectives it is worth mentioning the following:

1. To be a support for the student from the university institution.
2. Perform a personalized follow-up of the student.
3. To link the relationship between the student and the center.

The tutoring for entering the labor market will be carried out in a coordinated manner from the University School ADEMA through the Internship Department of the center with the Department of Guidance and Professional Insertion (DOIP) of the University and Business Foundation of the Balearic Islands.

Among the more specific functions of the tutors are the following:

• Guidance and monitoring of external internships.
• Ensure that external internships are carried out under appropriate conditions.
• To ensure the student’s academic progress in order to achieve the objectives and competencies set.
• Guide students in mobility processes, in collaboration with the International Relations Service of the UIB.
• Inform students of the existing services at the UIB.
• Advise and follow up on the final bachelor project.

At the end of the academic training period, students are offered the possibility of joining a job bank, as well as providing the necessary assistance to facilitate their insertion into the labor market.

Specific attention to foreign students

The University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) has agreements and collaboration agreements with universities and institutions of higher education around the world. As a result, the UIB welcomes international students who carry out part of their studies or even their entire studies here. For this reason, it has a welcome program(http://www.uib.es/es/internacionals/mobilitat/externs/) which offers a set of basic and useful information to facilitate their integration into university life and improve their learning and performance.

The International Relations Service (http://sri.uib.es) is responsible for the promotion and management of student mobility. In the EPS, a member of the management team is in charge of coordinating student mobility actions, centralizing the contacts that professors of the degree may have with other universities and verifying that the teaching contracts established in each case will facilitate the subsequent recognition of credits through the Credit Recognition and Transfer Commission. The tutorial action for these students will follow the same channels established for all students.

In order for a student to remain in the undergraduate program, the credits that must be passed are those shown in the following table:

Article 2. Tenure regime for undergraduate studies

1. In the case of undergraduate degrees, the centers responsible for the degrees will establish by agreement of the center board, and with the approval of the Board of Directors, the minimum number of credits that Full Dedication students must pass in each course, which will fluctuate between 12 and 30 credits in the first year and between 36 and 72 credits in the first two years.
2. Students with Differential Dedication must pass a minimum of 6 credits in each study at the end of the first academic year, and at the end of the first two academic years, a minimum of 24 credits.
3. All undergraduate students must register for at least the minimum number of credits established in the Academic Regulations of the Universitat de les Illes Balears or, where appropriate, the credits necessary to achieve permanence.
4. Undergraduate students must register for all core courses that are pending from previous courses before being able to register for a course in a higher course.
5. Undergraduate students must register for all compulsory courses and external curricular internships of a compulsory nature that are pending from previous years, or all but a maximum of 12 credits together, before being able to register for a course in a higher year.
6. Exceptionally, with the authorization of the Dean or Director of the School, undergraduate students may enroll in elective courses of a course without fulfilling the requirements of the previous point.
