ADEMA Fine Arts students once again took center stage at Palma’s Art Night with four exhibitions that drew thousands of visitors and demonstrated the strength of their training and their ability to inspire through art. These diverse offerings reflect the talent, passion, and vocation of a new generation of artists on the path to professionalization.
One of the highlights was the lighting intervention Sístole, presented at the Aljub de la Misericòrdia by artist Óscar González, curated by Adonay Bermúdez and with Matías Togores as technical director of heritage projects. The project transformed the old cistern into a living space where light and the rhythm of a heartbeat invited us to listen to the architecture as a pulsing body. The result was an immersive experience that generated queues of people and transformed the space into a place of resonance and collective memory.
At the same time, the Barceló Foundation hosted the exhibition “El Umbral,” curated by Mónica Galván, which brought together the work of fourth-year Fine Arts students. The exhibition symbolized the transition toward professional life and creative self-awareness, highlighting the individual processes of artistic research and the maturity achieved after years of training at ADEMA.
The Nivia Born Boutique Hotel became the setting for Exhibition Experiences, which brought together the works of young artists Álex Cueto and Luis Amador. Their pieces established a dialogue between the intimate and the natural, exploring the vulnerability and strength of the human in relation to nature, and demonstrating the sensitivity and diversity of approaches that characterize the new generation of creators.
For its part, the Son Armadans Garage hosted the collective exhibition LIVE WORK CREATE, curated by Fernando Golvano, which brought together artists selected for the University Art Biennial – Art Week ADEMA 2025. The exhibition reaffirmed the role of this international competition as a platform for emerging talent and demonstrated ADEMA’s commitment to promoting contemporary creation and connecting with the global art scene.
With this intensive program, ADEMA Fine Arts reinforces its role as a cultural driving force in Mallorca and its commitment to offering students professional training experiences that transcend the classroom and are fully integrated into the city’s artistic scene.
